A Note from the Executive Director

Welcome to the Builders Exchange of East Central Ohio.

 

The Builders Exchange mission is to offer a wide variety of services to our members to support your organization. As you explore this brochure and our website (mybx.org), you’ll find information about our workers’ compensation pooling program through Sedgwick, our Speedway Fuel Works program, the Edward Jones retirement plan program, and our safety training.

 

Of course, a core offering is the BX online plan room, which enables active members to view bid opportunities, plans and specifications for upcoming construction projects.

 

I like to call the BX a “Big Tent” construction industry trade association, because our membership includes a wide range of business organizations, serving the construction industry from construction management and general contractors to subcontractors and material suppliers and professional organizations like sureties, accountants, architects, engineers, and lawyers.

 

That brings me to the fun aspect of the BX, our social and networking events. Golf outings and clay/skeet shoots are annual events (contractors are a sporting group). We also have a mentoring program through the Young Contractors and Professionals Group to facilitate industry knowledge and acquaintances for the next generation of business owners.
